I'm Jonathan Alexander, Founder & Executive Chef of L'BOE (Little Bit of Everything) Catering. I specialize in Latin Caribbean cuisine, and I offer unique culinary experiences that bring people together by engaging and awakening the palate. My resume includes catering deals with Mount Sinai, Wework, Grand Bazaar, The Bronx Night Market and NYC's SummerStage Music Festival to name a few. I was the first African-American culinary company at the Richmond County Fair, and the youngest-ever fully established vendor at the Tappan Park African Culture Fest.
My aspirations as a chef began as a child where I was inspired by the likes of Chef Roble, Flay, and Paula Deen -- as well as being steeped by my Panamanian, Jamaican, and Trinidadian roots. My cultural background is known for its distinct and robust flavors, all of which shine through in my cuisine -- paying homage to my unique influences.
I'm an alumni of David Chang's ANDO, Au Cheval, and Chef JJ Johnson's FIELDTRIP where I learned the discipline, technique, and patience to be able to execute in this industry as a master of my craft. Since the pandemic, I've also been working in partnership with NYCHA - the largest housing development in NYC, to provide meals to the less fortunate throughout these trying times. My culinary experience is diverse and rich, and my dedication to serving others is unmatched.
