- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to discuss my client's preferred learning styles, and establish the best ways to present and explain the material. I then like to start by establishing a solid basis for the subject, and move on from there once at a pace set by the client. I like to use different approaches in my teaching style, such as incorporating music, and videos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Psychology, as well as experience living in a Spanish-speaking country, Argentina. My experience in Argentina gave me a great opportunity to develop fluency and learn about Latin American culture and dialects.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Throughout college I was employed by the Office of Academic Support as a peer tutor in Spanish. In addition to that I also tutored fellow students outside of the tutoring center. I also spent a summer teaching Spanish to children aged 3-7. I absolutely adore the Spanish language and I love sharing that passion through teaching.
