FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate is $45/hour with a 2-hour minimum. I’m happy to bundle multiple small projects into the same visit, which is usually the best value. Travel within my normal service area is included; longer-distance jobs may have a travel charge that I’ll discuss with you beforehand. Materials are additional when needed. I’m always upfront about pricing before starting work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Send me a description of what you need done along with photos whenever possible. I’ll review the project, ask any questions I need to properly understand the job, and give you an estimate or pricing structure before we schedule. I show up with my own truck and tools and try to come prepared to complete everything in one visit whenever possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background includes professional carpentry training through BOCES, electrical and solar apprenticeship experience, OSHA safety training, and professional tree-climbing/arborist training. I’ve also spent years doing hands-on building, repair, installation, maintenance, landscaping, and assembly work. I’m constantly adding to my skill set and learning new trades.
