FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a general contractor, it is important to provide clear and detailed pricing information to my customers. This includes the cost of labor, materials, and any other expenses associated with the project. I also inform my customers of any potential additional costs that may arise during the course of the project, such as changes in the scope of work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is always necessary to go and look at the work area to have a proper scope of work. This way you can have a good idea of what the client wants. Initial consultation: Meet with the customer to discuss their project, understand their needs and requirements and gather information such as the scope of work, budget, and timeline. Site visit: Visit the site of the project to assess the existing conditions, take measurements and make any necessary observations. Design and planning: Develop a design and plan for the project, taking into consideration the customer's needs, budget, and any relevant building codes and regulations. Estimate and proposal: Provide the customer with a detailed estimate and proposal outlining the scope of work, materials to be used, and labor cost. Contract and deposit: Once the customer has accepted the proposal, have them sign a contract and provide a deposit to secure the work. Scheduling and procurement: Schedule the work and order any necessary materials and equipment. Construction and progress report: Begin the construction process and provide regular progress reports to the customer. Inspection and sign-off: Once the work is completed, arrange for any necessary inspections and obtain the customer's sign-off on the work.
