I first saw Allison's profile as I was searching on Amazon home services. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never hired someone from Amazon home services before so; I did a little more research and Allison popped up on the Thumbtack app. I read through five or so profiles of different home organizers and I kept going back to Allison's so I hired her. She is as kind as her smile looks in her picture. Allison helped me purge all of my excess 'stuff' the dead weight that was weighing me down. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. She was very focused on my goal and redirected me from time to time to stay on track. I donated many, many garbage bags filled with clothes and items to a battered women's shelter, which Allison found for me. Allison helped me organize my paperwork. She went through every single piece of paper down to receipts which she put into labeled file folders. She even brought her own file folders with her. Allison is professional, reliable, calm, focused, non-judgmental and energetic. I believe that her goal is to reach your goal with you. My space around me is so much lighter! Jennifer

Allison and her services were outstanding. From her immediate reply in bidding on my requested work, to the communications to scope the work via Skype video call, to the organizing, purging and cleansing her services were outstanding. She did a clear inventory of charity items for tax purposes and gave me receipts. She also labeled all boxes for donation, consignment, dumpster, retain at my house, retain and move. Her attititude was always cheerful, supportive and engaging. She made what could be an emotionally difficult process fun and much easier. I would hire her again Sadly we were so focused on the work we forgot before, during and after photos. Thank you Allison.

Allison's organizational mind, combined with her passion for efficiency and ways to save space is absolutely, over the top, impressive! Allison has the type of mind that she can walk into a messy, cluttered space and already start seeing its potential and how to most effectively manage the limited space. She has impeccable character and is honest. I also used her creative brain for ways she could help organize my wedding. I have gotten nothing but the best from Allison! Allison helped me sort though a bunch of items that were uselessly lying around my house in piles, just cluttered everywhere and helped me dispose of the things that I didn't need. She then helped me organize what was left so that my house could not just be clean but organized and looking great. Since her services, I've felt even more free to get rid of other things that I don't need. She was always on time when I had her come over which really impressed me from other people who I've worked with. She's also very friendly and sweet and makes you feel very comfortable, even when you're going through items that may be pretty emotionally tough to sort through. Allison's also very creative and always seemed 10 steps beyond me in how she could plan for things that I didn't anticipate. She has such a spatial perceptive gift that she was able to see how and where things could fit in the space just by eyeballing things. I couldn't be happier with all the help she's given me and I absolutely recommend her to anyone who's looking to really, seriously organize their stuff and have fun in the process! In fact, I saw her months ago and still am recommending her to friends!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rate= $75
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Again, I want to emphasize there is no judgment from me. Organizing can be very emotional. The beginning process varies depending on the customer's needs but generally the process is : 1) Phone or contact us as many times as you need to feel comfortable *I am here to answer any questions and walk with you. *I recognize this can be a tough and emotional journey and want you to feel completely safe. I ask clients to wait until they feel comfortable and ready to work with me, as then the whole process goes more smoothly. In-Home Evaluation *Via pictures, skype or physical home visit *Discuss your needs and goals *Outline plan *Estimate amount of hours needed *Schedule work times around your time schedule How To Get the Best Results : It is always best for the client and Organizer to work together so I can teach the organizing methods as we go along, which results in better long term maintenance. However, I can work independently as well, if you are restricted on time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A Harvard graduated former elementary school teacher, my previous teaching days have been critical for this field because a really good Organizer is actually a good teacher. It's not enough to just to declutter and organize. In order for the organization to last long term a person needs to learn systems to keep the organization in place. I work with you to make this happen by listening to you and your family's needs and lifestyle and then teaching you to maintain the order on your own on a regular basis.
