- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most work is priced by the project, not by the hour, so you know the number before I start. Closet and shelving systems run $1,200 to $1,800 for a reach-in and $2,000 to $3,500 for a walk-in. Trim and molding is $600 to $1,200 per room for base and casing, with crown at $10 to $14 per linear foot. Interior doors are $275 to $400 per opening. Wood slat feature walls are $1,500 to $3,000 with materials included. Every quote covers materials, installation, fill and sanding, and removal of my debris. Painting and staining are not included. Any change to the scope is priced in writing before the work continues, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You get a confirmation the night before and a text when I am on the way. Materials arrive with me, so there is no waiting on a supply run. I measure and lay out the whole job before anything gets cut, and you will know exactly what is happening before it starts. I clean up at the end of every day rather than at the end of the project. The job is not finished until the joints are tight, the fasteners are filled and sanded, and the surface is ready for your painter.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, repair, and installation across nearly every trade, now focused on interior finish carpentry. Previously held an Ohio electrical license, which is why concealed cable and lighting inside a feature wall or closet gets handled correctly rather than surface-mounted.
