AJ turned a toe molding, installation railing, and plumbing project around for me very quickly when I was in a bind. Does good work.
Jack worked around my schedule and did a good job repairing my screen door (when the screen wasn't ripped on my sliding door he suggesting using the same one and just replaced some of the tubing that holds it in place saving me money) and caulking my granite counters. All in all he made the process easy and affordable making me ask myself why I have been fumbling through home repairs along.
AR Home Restorations came out on short notice later in the evening to help me out which was great, given that my grand opening for my business was the next day and I needed some caulking done! I didn't think I would be able to find anyone on such short notice, but they did and it helped tremendously.
Brian did a great job cleaning our gutters. I will definitely call 5 Star for any of the many services they offer and will recommend them as well. Thanks Brian!
Great work. Got a hold of him last night and was able to set up an appointment first thing this morning. Jerry and his colleague arrived early for the job and got straight to it. I showed him all of the issues and he ended up replacing burst pipes leading to my bathtub (original job) and did a bunch of extra for me also (replacing old rusty valves and pipes and adding in insulation to prevent frozen pipes again). He walked me through everything he was doing and showed me all of the stuff that was bad and needed replaced. Couldn't ask for a more pleasant and efficient team for the job. Would definitely recommend.
We contracted with Ian Cheadle of Cheadle Construction (937.580.9098) on December 4, 2015, and we are very glad we did. The project centered around the replacement of carpeted and tiled flooring with 3/8 inch Engineered Hardwood in a glue-down installation. This was a project that we, homeowners, had started the previous May, but after completing our great room, the project lost momentum leaving our downstairs in a half-baked configuration. We were simply not looking forward to tackling the myriad of difficult cuts required for our front entry-way, parlor, and hallway, all of which are at odd angles to the walls opposite. In late November, we decided to hire a professional. We found Ian and contacted him via email and he came to our condominium ON TIME, sized up the work and had an estimate/contract prepared for us shortly thereafter. Some prices are a set amount, while others are by square-foot or linear foot. It was all clear up-front. We removed the baseboards, carpet, carpet liner, carpet tack strips, and tile ourselves, revealing a concrete sub-floor upon which the new project would be glued. We were not, however, able to chip away the mortar that was underneath the tile. Lucky for us, Ian had a tool similar to a jack hammer that was able to do that job. The particular choice of materials and the method of installation were ours, and were not products he had worked with prior. Ian listened to our own experiences and in addition did his own research, including contacting the company. So when he began work, he was able to hit the ground running. We should mention that this was "click and lock" flooring in name only; it takes some real persuasion with a hammer to get each piece to lay flat. And the glue, although a great product, is also very messy, requiring constant cleanup. The project also involved the installation of baseboards. We chose 1x4 common board, and did the sanding, priming, and painting ourselves, leaving the cuts and installation for Ian. He caulked all the gaps, leaving a finished, professional look. There were no surprises during the installation. Ian asked all the right questions, and turned our vision into reality in less than a week. Having done this work, ourselves, the previous May, I can tell you that his constantly cheerful attitude must be a superpower of some sort. So, now, the project is complete, the place looks great and we can once again welcome our cars into the garage, just in time for winter. This is a link to a photo on google drive showing some of Ian's work: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4P1TMU9HITkMWk4Y0dIVG0wSGM/view?usp=sharing We were delighted with how it all turned out. After submitting a request for quotes here on Thumbtack for someone to lay 900 sq ft of laminate floor, we received half dozen or so contacts. We chose Wilson Construction Services initially because Thumbtack showed they had passed a background check and were a gold star member, and had excellent reviews. We contacted Mr. Wilson, he came out the next day, gave us a reasonable quote on the job, sounded knowledgable when telling us what needed done. He was prepared with a basic contract for services and cost. He agreed to pick up and deliver the 39 boxes of flooring and finish materials. He did what he said he would do, he and his crew were timely, friendly, and worked steady while on site. And cleaned up their mess when they were done! The floor look great, we have received several comments on the quality of the work. Couldn't be happier with Wilson Construction Services. Will definitely consider them again in the future and recommend them to you.
Tom did a bathroom drywall putty job for my in-laws here recently. The finished project was absolutely gorgeous! I went in and painted beautiful perfectly smothered walls! I am definitely one of his biggest fans!
Curt has done all our house painting for us since 2004. Curt recently has done all the painting and repairs to our home before it was put on the market. It included wall paper removal, drywall repair, exterior door replacement and interior and exterior painting. He is fast, neat and very reasonably priced. We hope to get him to come to NC and work on our new house.
I hired Kopper Home Services to do some renovations to my basement, including adding can lights, soffits, and glass block windows. Dave was extremely thorough, hardworking and clean, as well as polite and professional. I would recommend Koepper Home Services to anyone.
I met Mr Coleman while visiting in Dayton around 10 years ago, I'm a resident of Cleveland and he traveled here to repair the plumbing and some exterior flaws to my recently purchased home. JOB WELL DONE! !!!
Michael contacted me right after I had posted a request for work on my bathroom. His initial offer seemed fair and he was friendly and professional upon initial contact. I asked Mike if he could repair some drywall in my half bathroom and apply a coat of primer. He did an excellent and timely job in doing so and also added caulk to areas that needed it along the floor boards. His attention to detail was apparent in the quality of work he provided. In addition to the work Mike did on my bathroom, he also went above and beyond with patching up carpet that my dog had destroyed. While the work could have been easily done in one day, the mud used for the drywall required the time to dry before sanding could be completed. He maintained constant contact with me regarding the status of the projects as well as following up on when he would arrive for work. Mike's flexibility with my schedule was very much appreciated and he also did a great job with the clean up. I look forward to consulting with Mike on future projects.
Keith and his team were amazing Keith did exactly what he said he would do plus more. I am very happy with my kitchen cabinets and my florida room which is mostly trim painting. Plus I had new moulding which required alot of caulking that he did not know about upfront. Thank you Keith and Sharon!!!
We hired Nathan for an interior painting job. He communicated very well with us, letting us know if he was running a bit late, answered our phone calls with questions right away. Got the job done quickly, but very thoroughly-6 hours for 5 rooms. He even took on a bit extra and caulked an area that was open for us. Very reasonably priced and very friendly!
