FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically use lump sum pricing. I try to be competitive when I do full residential custom design plans I charge 3500 to 8500 when it's a new-built residential project. If it is a consultation for kitchen or bath design renovations I do a weekly retainer approximately 1200.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
typically I like to either have a phone conversation first then I'll have a sit-down consultation at their home and get a familiarization with what it is they want. then we can start the process from there. we can figure out what they really want to do, we can come up with design options, design fees, I do like to have constant communication as a client needs. I like to make myself available either by phone or text and in person so that the client is always clear on what's going on with their project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in architecture, a bachelor's degree in art history and criticism. I've been practicing for about 24 years. I've either worked in architectural firms, for myself, retail design sales, or in the academic environment as an educator in design.
