FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not at all. I don't provide pricing on the website simply because each client's needs are different. Nevertheless, I provide an easy to follow quote customized for each client. All they need to do is tell me what they're looking for and I'll do the rest!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Cooking has always been my number one passion. I learned how to cook at a young age and couldn't shake the love for it. After being accepted into several top culinary schools, I made a difficult decision to attend traditional college and figured if I still wanted to pursue cooking, I'd find an outlet. After graduating from Miami University, I worked as an outside sales rep in the plastics industry. 2 years into this great job, I realized I still wasn't fulfilled. I took a chance, left, and started my own personal chef business. It's the perfect line of work because I get to have the juxtaposition of a personal and professional relationship with my clients. Personal being they trust me to be in their homes and prepare the food they pay me to cook. It's almost like I'm an integral part of their family. Personal being that I am trustworthy and determined to complete the task above and beyond their expectations.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Weekly meal preparations- I fully cook about 3-5 meals (depending on their preference), label and provide simple reheat instructions. Interactive cooking classes - This is a great social event to include close friends and family. I go to the client's home, and lead a cooking class which basically puts a Food Network show in your kitchen! You can be as much or as little involved as you prefer! Once the cooking is complete, you enjoy the food, and I do the cleanup!
