We hired Marvin to paint our living room, 3 bedrooms, and part of the basement. Marvin is always on time, and he prepares the work area thoroughly. This includes moving furniture, taking down curtain rods, removing wallpaper when requested, and patching holes in walls. From the beginning he always explained what he was going to do and how he would go about it—priming the surfaces, two or three coats of paint, working from one room to another at the same time. Marvin does not rush the job and most importantly he always cleans up before he leaves for the day. Even when a room wasn't finished, he stored all the work materials so you could use the room until he came back the next day. We are extremely pleased with how bright our rooms look now! My wife had certain colors picked for each room, and when a couple weren't available anymore, Marvin showed comparable colors and explained how a store can create a near-identical color by mixing. I'm a firm believer in quality work, and Marvin provides exactly that. Not only is his painting superb, but he goes about his job quietly and unobtrusively (I work from home and wasn't bothered at all even when he was in the next room!). So if you're looking for value in a service, Forest City Painting is tops because Marvin goes way beyond just the basic job.
