I've used larger moving companies like Allied before and felt it was very impersonal and lacked communication.
Pick Up Movers was a different experience. Their contact person Frank was with me from day 1 throughout the process keeping me updated. The movers who dropped off my stuff were same ones who picked it up. The rates were reasonable and the move was efficient without damages.
Moving is stressful so I wouldn't say it was a perfect process but for my next move I will call this company again.

I found myself in a situation where I needed to hire movers quickly after my moving arrangements fell through. Within 30 minutes of inquiring about Pick Up Movers' availability I received both a professional written response in my inbox and a call directly from the company. They walked me through my estimate - and reassured all of my worries/concerns. The actual movers worked swiftly, communicated with me about their ETA, and explained all of the paperwork. Payment was so easy because I was able to do it all digitally. Some of the reviews I have read have been negative, but I really had the opposite experience. One in particular that I read stated that "the movers asked for a tip up front." The movers explained the process of gratuity to me, but expected nothing - they simply wanted to express how it works - and I basically had to chase them down to give them the gratuity when they were finished with the delivery because they did not anticipate or expect it at all and were so thankful for the support (not as thankful as I was for their hard work!) All of this was done the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS - I am shocked that Pick Up Movers was able to accommodate my needs over a busy holiday season, and I would recommend them to anyone.

This was by far the best moving experience we have ever had! They helped us move from OH to GA with absolutely no hiccups and for a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for a move; they promised white-glove service and delivered on it.

THIS WAS A COMPLICATED MOVE. I dealt with "Pierre" until the very end when he was in the hospital. "Michael", the dispatcher, was very helpful in keeping me informed of all movement. The movers that showed up in Akron, OH were very helpful and courteous. The movers that showed up in Clearwater, FL were also very helpful. We were very happy that the "quote" we were given was exactly what we were charged. There were no hidden fees. I would not hesitate to deal with this company again if I could use Pierre and Michael.

Couldn't thank Pick Up Movers enough for their service. I've heard about many people having delays and difficulties with their move but Pick Up Movers was able to get a quote and delivery to us within 48 hours after our own previous moving company cancelled on us as well. Dimitriy was able to give us an up front confirmation of the estimate and quickly loaded up the furniture. Our move from Ohio to Illinois was completed in 2 days

I really wished customers knew that moving is not a brute profession, but it involves thinking, and planning. Loading a truck is like playing a tetris game. many novice movers don't understand the importance of packing that truck tight, and right. This ensures that everything fits. Also, that movers may not ask, but we enjoy tips and food. It makes the job go smooth. LOL!
