- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate varies with subject matter; with the more advanced subjects and grades a higher rate will apply. I also discount if more then one hour sessions are scheduled. Typically a rate of $40.00/hour for grades k-12 is reqiired.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like a complete interview with the student before the first session. By phone or e-mail would be preferred. The more details given to me prior to the lesson will result in a very productive tutoring session. Also the customer should bring all papers and books he would like to review and be prepared with the questions he would like to ask.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a secondary school teacher and have been teaching for many years. I tutor k-12 and also have many college students. I have three teaching certificates from Kent State University in the Sciences. The certificates are in Biology, Earth Science and General Science. I also have taken many post grad courses in physics, chemistry, physiology and algebra. I love to teach all subjects. I have also won a National Science Foundation Award in Education
