FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is an hourly rate, and includes standard/basic post-processing touch ups.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A phone call is always best at first, to get an idea of the needs of the client. Depending upon the scope of the project, an in-person meeting is recommended, especially for large events like wedding or engagement photos to ensure that both parties are fully comfortable and compatible with each other. If you are uncomfortable with your photographer, that uncertainly will show in the final images. Once the in-person meeting has occurred and both parties want to move forward, we confirm the arrangements, agree on the financials and then prepare for the big day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of film and digital photographic experience including national accolades, having worked for local newspapers doing black and white darkroom work, a local camera chain who specialized in color print processing, and a variety of other photographic and video disciplines. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of America and am currently teach digital photography at a local high school. During the school year, I am a contract photographer for Chicago-based Varsity Views. I have a vast and diverse clientele, and shoot many types of images from portrait, to weddings, to sports photography. I can easily scale my service offering to the specific need and budget of the client.
