FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I absorb as much training and education as I can. I'm involved in two separate monthly paint jams so I can have regular practice with new techniques I learn about and also host occasional paint classes for the general public. I also work regularly with a local special FX company where we sculpt, mold and fabricate masks, prosthetics an other specialty makeup items.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After meeting world-renowned face and body painters Nick and Brian Wolfe at The Midwest Haunter's Convention in Columbus, Ohio. I took several workshops and paint courses to refine my technique and to grow beyond amateur work levels and I regularly compete in monthly paint jams to explore new techniques and concepts so I continue to grow. I am also inspired by artists like Jay Bautista, Mark Reid, Alex Hansen, Athena Zhe, Nix Herrerra and Pashur.
