I've been going to CrossFit Italian Village for approximately 6 weeks. I've seen a tremendous improvement in my quality of life, diet, sleep hygiene, and overall strength and cardiovascular ability. (e.g. I raised my 1 rep max bench by 20 lbs in two weeks!) I'm the guy who asks fifty questions about various movements and techniques, and why something is done the way it is - Ryan is the guy who answers all my questions without hesitation, and with the knowledge I would expect from a coach. I'm always a bit worried about people getting injured or pushing themselves too far when lifting free weights, but Coaches Ryan and Nick are constantly aware of their surroundings and will correct you if there's room for improvement. Both have a thorough knowledge of exercise science, and it shows in their explanations of the movements. The best part, IMHO, is watching my strength and ability improve over time. The box uses the Wodify app, which tracks improvements, class schedule, and allows me to review and comment on other members. I highly recommend this box for the outstanding coaching staff, welcoming environment, and use of top-of-the-line Rogue equipment and the Wodify App!

I’ve been a member at Ohio Strength for about four months now. I would absolutely recommend the gym, as well as Ryan as a trainer, to anyone who wants to get stronger, healthier, or just generally in better shape. Ryan’s background in exercise science and nutrition as well as experience with personal training is one of the biggest assets to this gym. His focus on proper form and technique makes sure you get a good workout while avoiding injury. The great community that is quickly growing here also keeps things fun and motivating. The programing is well planned, the equipment is all new, and the training is top notch. I highly recommend for anyone serious about getting in shape and bettering their health.

I will admit, I am someone who has not liked working out in the past. I have tried many different gyms, personal trainers, and "fad" diets. It seems like I have been trying to lose the same 15 pounds for the past 10 years and it has been frustrating and has seemed hopeless at times. I have now been a member at Ohio Strength for 6 months and not only am I close to reaching most of my health goals, I have exceeded many others and have made so many amazing friends in the process. Now I actually LOOK FORWARD TO GOING TO THE GYM!! Reflecting back on the past 6 months, I believe this change in my body and my attitude is due to two main reasons: 1)Ryan McFadyen is a really great coach. I have had good coaches in the past but they do not compare to Ryan. Ryan knows how to coach to improve weakness while maintaining strengths as well as encourage you the whole way through. The programming is great and the classes are challenging but I never leave the gym feeling like I did a "bad job" -even if I wasn't able to follow the Rx programming. 2)The environment is like nothing I have every experienced at a gym. I feel conformable asking Ryan questions or for extra help. His knowledge of fitness and health is extensive and I feel confident working out when Ryan is coaching. The atmosphere facilitated by Ryan is also something that I value. I have never been to a gym where I seem to make a new friend every time I attend a class. I currently attend classes 4 days a week (up from 3 days a week about three months ago because I could not get enough!) and I meet new people all of the time while getting to know others better than the day before. The encouragement and energy from Ryan and other members is contagious and really fabulous after a hard day a work. I highly recommend attending the FREE trial if you are at all interested!

I've been at Ohio Strength for about a month now. Great location, conveniently located near downtown. Ryan is very knowledgable and the class sizes are small so you receive great coaching. Glad I made the switch from LA fitness.

Crossfit Italian Village is a great gym for anyone from beginners-highly experienced. Ryan is incredibly knowledgable and very motivating. He makes sure everyone is doing things correct and does so without making you feel "picked on", embarrassed, or "called out" for doing it wrong. He truly cares about each and every person being successful at their own level! Being a mother of two young children, I never thought I could do half of things I can do after just one month at Crossfit Italian Village. I HIGHLY recommend you to stop in and check it out for yourself!
