Brandon promptly returned my call, discussed work needed done and scheduled the job on the first call. He showed up on time, cleaned gutters and installed gutter guards. Brandon was polite, professional and worked efficiently. While there, I asked Brandon about additional projects. I definitely would hire Brandon for additional projects and recommend him. George was able to look at the project and leave a quote in the mailbox. He followed up with a call to schedule a meeting time and was actually able to install the gutters at that time. He was friendly and professional. He installed the gutters and gutter guards and cleaned up as if no one had been working. I highly recommend his worked based on communication and cost. Very fair.

Ryan and his team did fantastic job. Our gutters are sparkling clean and functioning. He checked the condition of our roof, fixed a disconnected downspout and power washed the repair area to leave it clean and debris-free. Best money spent on house maintenance so far. With major gutter cleaning companies it will take you 2-4 weeks to even get on their schedule. Will hire Ryan for future projects.

Great company. Had weather issues and they were in top of things at all times. Matt, the owner is a class act and Mark the project manager kept everything organized. They use the best products in the industry and make sure everything is done right. No contest in comparison to other roofing companies in central Ohio...

I won't sugarcoat my experience with Summit Building & Roofing Co. I submitted a request for quote, these guys were first to contact me, first out to quote, fair priced and were able to complete the job before anyone else. We had a couple small hiccups along the way with weather/timing but these guys were flexible to restart the job. Jason, the owner even came out to check out the job and recommend opportunities to make our place look better at a fair price without being pushy. Don't call anyone else for your gutter, trim/paint work.

Needed gutter cleaning. Called quickly and was able to come the same day for an estimate and the cleaning. In less than 24 hours of requesting the action on Thumbtack I had the job finished and paid for. Overall couldn't be happier with the experience.

After a recent storm Jarrett knocked on my door. He introduced himself and offered a free roof inspection for possible storm damage. Not only did he find hail damage to my roof, but he also found damage to my siding, gutters, and garage door. He worked with my insurance and was able to get my insurance company to replace them with nothing out of pocket to me! His crews were very professional and work efficiently. Best of all the money I had been saving up for my old roof. I could then use to build the deck I've always wanted and install a new concrete driveway all of which Jarrett handled for me as well. I will recommend his company to family and friends. Melissa

Tim (owner) came out and gave us quotes on 2 separate occasions about a year apart for a roof replacement and for gutters/gutter guards/soffit/fascia replacement. 1st experience: Tim agreed to come out and give us a quote. I stated that someone would be at the house. My wife met Tim, who stated, “Oh, your husband isn’t here? How am I supposed to give you a quote and discuss the job when he’s not here?” The quote was not accepted (more on this later). 2nd experience: Tim sent me a request on Thumbtack to come out and give me a quote. I did not remember that he had been out previously to give us a quote on the roof. Upon arriving to our house, the first thing that he said was that he had been to our house before and if he had known, he wouldn’t have had to come out to measure for gutters. He stated this fact a few times throughout the conversation, which I responded with an apology each time as I truly did feel bad that he had to drive out to our house since he wouldn’t have had to if he had known he had been here before. Tim also stated that I had never responded to his quote from the roofing job. I apologized for this as well and stated that I did not remember receiving a quote. I acknowledged and apologized for not getting back to him as the quote must have been buried in my email. We discussed the job, and I stated that we wanted to change the color of the soffit and fascia to white. Tim asked immediately if we were sure that we wanted that color as it wouldn’t look good on the house. I stated that yes, we had decided on white because we were eventually going to replace the siding on the house. Tim then said, “Are you sure? It’s going to stick out like a sore thumb if you do white.” I stated again, that yes, white is the color we wanted. After talking about the job for a few more minutes, Tim asked that if he gave me a ballpark offer would we be willing to shake on it and agree to have him do the job, then he could come back with a more detailed quote. I informed him that I was looking at other contractors for the job and would be getting quotes from them for the next few weeks. I asked him to send me a quote and I’d get back to him in the next few weeks and let him know if we’d be accepting his offer or not. He then stated, “Well I would hope you’d give me the business since I’ve been out here twice already.” I gave him my contact information and he left. Please keep in mind that for the entire interaction, Tim’s attitude was not pleasant and it really felt like he was trying to guilt me by bringing up the fact that he had been to my house twice and tried to make me feel bad. Later that evening, he messaged me asking for my last name and email address which I had previously provided. He messaged me again the next day telling me he had emailed me the quote and asked if I had received it. I had not. I verified the email address with him, again, and he said that he had the email wrong and had resent the quote. I reviewed the quote and noticed it did not have the gutter guards that we had previously discussed on the quote, so I messaged Tim and asked for a revised quote. The quote came in at about $1,200 above competing quotes from other businesses. That was about 2 weeks ago. Today, I received a call and voicemail from Tim asking if I had any thoughts on the quote and if we could move forward with the job. As I was still evaluating contractors and getting quotes from additional businesses, I had not had the chance to discuss with Tim as I did not have all the quotes in to compare prices, so that’s why I had not contacted him. I also had stated when we first met that it would be a few weeks before I would have an answer. Since I was at work, I texted Tim back the following message (I have also attached a screenshot for proof) Me: Hey Tim, this is Trevor. Sorry I missed your call I am at work currently. Also apologize for not getting back to you but I’ve had contractors giving me quotes up til this week. Unfortunately, we have decided to go with someone else as they were $1200 below your quote. Thank you for your time. Tim: Lol. I see Please don’t call me again for quotes. Good luck to you! I then wrote out a reply and sent it, but upon sending the text I realized that Tim had blocked my phone number as the text did not go through. Due to this, I have decided to put my response to the business owner in this review. My response to the business owner: “And that kind of attitude is part of why you didn’t get my business. Just because you didn't get my business doesn't give you a right to be rude. Maybe price your quotes competitively and not be rude and have an attitude when you come out to give quotes (comment multiple times about how you've already been out to give a quote and try and make me feel bad, comment on how bad of a color choice we were making, comment on how we should give you your business since you've been out twice, etc). Also, maybe remember next time and don't submit a bid on Thumbtack if you don't want to come give me a quote. Also, here are a couple more "pro tips" for you since you don't seem to know how to relate with customers and get their business: 1. Don't bug people for an answer on a quote when they clearly state they'll get back to you in a few weeks due to the fact they are having multiple people look at a job 2. Get information right the first time, it shows attention to detail. Don't misspell customer names (name was misspelled on quote), forget to put information on a quote, forget the email address, etc. Maybe if you kept accurate records, you would’ve remembered that you’d been out to give a quote. It’s not the customers responsibility to remember the multiple contractors that have given quotes. 3. Be respectful to your customers. Don't make comments saying things like "oh your husband isn't here? How am I supposed to give you a quote when he's not here to discuss the job" (referring to your comments made to my wife when you gave us the quote for our roof.) 4. Don't intentionally try and make people feel bad and act entitled to business because you had to go out of your way for a customer (see reference to comments on the trip you made above) 5. Don’t comment on customer choices in a negative way unless they ask you for advice on the subject 6. Know your market. If you want to be competitive, then give quotes that are such. Giving a $1k+ offer above other quotes usually signifies to a customer that there’s no use in negotiating if you’re coming in that high. 7. Constantly work to improve your relationship with customers after the fact. I did some research a few weeks ago on BBB and saw the one ongoing issue you have with a customer and you’re fighting pretty hard against what the customer is saying instead of taking full responsibility for a job that you were contracted to do. Owning up to something, even if it's not your fault, would look so much better to prospective customers. Just some thoughts that come to mind, but what do I know. Good luck with your business, you’ll need it.” --End Response-- I can not speak to Tim’s workmanship, and I will not attempt to, there are other reviews for that. I personally did not have a pleasant experience with him and I wanted to put all of the details out there. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for someone who is professional and deals with customers the right way.

John was punctual & professional from start to finish. I couldn’t even get other companies to come give me an estimate until 3 weeks from now! A leak in our bedroom ceiling was not something we were comfortable waiting on. He came out, assessed the damage, explained the process & the price & was able to come back & do the repairs within 24 hrs of our approval. We are very satisfied as this has been the ONLY company that has actually responded in a timely manner & completed the work at a reasonable price since we moved here 9 months ago. For whatever reason - we have not had good experiences with contractors in the last 9 months some relocating. We will be calling Integrity from now on with all future repairs:) thank you!

I had a seriously clogged downspout that caused sheets of water to pour from the gutter. Tom did a great job clearing that problem, clearing the tree needles from the roof that would have returned the problem, and cleaning all the other gutters and down spouts. I particularly like his method which uses a hose to ensure that the gutters are clean and running well.

Raoul does a great job. He is professional, communicates well, and provides timely service. I've already recommended him to my husband's coworker. Having recently moved to a house from an apartment, we are still gathering all the necessary lawn equipment. In the meantime, it's been wonderful to have someone help us keeping our lawn looking tidy!

Chris arrived on time and went straight to work. We were having new gutters installed along with a gutter-guard product to prevent leaves and debris from clogging up the new gutters. Everything finally flows as it should and looks great. They left the outside very clean which is important to us. I would recommend Gutter King to anybody looking for a great job at a very fair price and completed even faster. Thx again to Chris and the crew! Scott R.

Hello, My name is Laura Lucas and I am the Operations Assistant for H&R Block Columbus South District we have a total of 17 offices. My company had a need for a new window cleaning service, I started out like you would normally start looking for a new service, expesially when you don't have a buddy in the business. I jumped on the web and searched for providers. I must have called twenty-five different services. K & T Window Cleaning was one of three services that was willing to give true customer service to the client over the phone. Kris “the owner” was the individual that I actually spoke to. My company was in a rush, we had just found out our offices were opening the very next week. Kris had a willingness for the customer that was unmatchable. He was willing to discuss a reasonable rate, and he was willing to go off my estimates of the window size. I was off on the measurement for one or two and stopped to call, giving us an oppurtunity to discussed any changes in price before we had any issues. With in the first two weeks of Kris completing his runs, I had nine office leaders who actually stopped and took a moment to tell me how fabulous the new window cleaning company was. The Office leaders were impressed there grattitude for a multitude of reasons; he removed the window banners to clean, he wiped off the trim around the window, he was polite to our customers while they were waiting in the waiting room, he opened the door for a client as they walked out of our office, and the list goes on, etc..... Thank You, Kris for your service! H & R Block

We recieved 7 quotes from multiple companies when getting our roof and gutters done in February. Not only did they give us the best rate they were out within 2 days of estimate to tear off a 27 year old roof and had it replaced within that same day. Dave was professional, cleaned up the mess and worked to ensure we were satisfied. We HIGHLY recommend him and his company!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Why is it important to clean your gutters?

Rain gutters, those easily-forgotten trenches that hang off the edge of your roof, protect your roof, walls and foundation from excess rainwater. When they get clogged with leaves, sticks and other wind-blown debris, they can no longer direct water away from your walls and foundation, and may become homes for pests and insects. They also become heavy enough to pull away from the house, preventing proper rainwater drainage and spoiling the appearance of your home. Experts recommend inspecting and cleaning your gutters twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, as part of your regular landscaping schedule. Gutter cleaning and maintenance is a fairly easy DIY job for some homeowners, especially on one-story homes. However, professional gutter cleaners have ladders tall enough to safely reach rain gutters, as well as the necessary tools to clean out the downspouts. Most gutter cleaning professionals can also make any necessary quick repairs.

How much does it cost to have gutters cleaned?

Professional gutter cleaning and maintenance should be done once or twice a year to remove debris and check for damage to the roof and gutter. The national average cost for rain gutter cleaners ranges from $100 to $130. A number of factors affect the costs, including the combined length of the gutters, the size of the house, the location of the gutters, and any risks posed to the professional cleaner. Some companies based their cost estimates on the linear square footage of the gutters; for example, 200 linear square feet of gutters on a standard, single-story ranch-style home costs an average of $125 to clean. The cost goes up for second- and third-story gutters and those in hard-to-reach places, like a roof with an unusually steep pitch. Expect to pay at least $100 more than standard prices if cleaning your home’s gutters requires extra safety precautions. Because spring and fall are gutter cleaners’ busiest seasons, some gutter cleaning and maintenance companies offer discounts during summer and winter months.

How often do you need to clean your gutters?

Gutter cleaning and maintenance is an important part of keeping up a home. Not only are clogged gutters unsightly, they can also lead to water damage in the house’s walls and roof. The best way to prevent that is to clean your gutters at least twice a year — experts recommend making it part of your spring cleaning and fall landscaping schedules. In the fall, trees lose their leaves and, in the spring, release seedpods and flower petals, all of which tend to end up in rain gutters. It’s a good idea to also have a professional gutter cleaner clear out your downspouts, too; clogged downspouts can make gutters backup and overflow.
