Michael did close up magic at a special event for students. He wandered tables and engaged students in his magic. He was well received and students are still talking about how he did "that"! Very engaging entertainer.May 3, 2017Verified
The kids really enjoyed him! He involved the audience and joked with them too. Good entertainment for a large group from age 1 to 10.Dec 21, 2016VerifiedMichael Griffin - Escape Artist - Magician's reply
That was a fun time.. It was neat having all them up in the party room and being part of the magic.
Michael performed at our camp for foster kids. It was a particularly tough week for a couple of our kids who were between foster homes and he called one of them up to help with a magic trick. She had been having a very negative attitude up until that point but after that started opening up and talking to everyone about her experience. She even imitated his act for our camp talent show later in the week. The kids loved his performance! Michael put some smiles on the faces of some kids who really needed to smile!Aug 17, 2019Verified
I hired Michael for my Halloween party and he ended up canceling because he “forgot” he had another job that same day...Oct 28, 2019VerifiedMichael Griffin - Escape Artist - Magician's reply
I'm really sorry about this. We spoke while I was driving to an event. I told the client I would send a contract in the morning. It came to my attention there was a pre-existing show and I could not move it. I immediately messaged the client as I would in any situation so she could plan accordingly. I never expected a 2-star review over a show I never did (I don't feel this is fair).
Haven't see the event yet, but his responses and willingness to do our event is exciting. He also has a very fun personality from talking to him on the phone.Mar 5, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every event is different. So that I can best serve my client's needs I really hope to talk with them for at least a few minutes to understand better what they are looking for and to accomplish and if I can be the best fit for them.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Listening, often the customer is just thrown into the position of pulling all the necessary parts together to make the event flow well. I have done this for many years and I like to help with suggestions if they are asking. It's all about making the event awesome!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Multiple TV appearances, Several decades of traveling the World performing for audiences ranging in size from a few close up to over 18,000 during NBA halftime shows.
