Amy did a terrific job photographing both my engagement and wedding photos. She's incredibly passionate and caring about the work and people she works with. I'm normally fearful of getting in front of the camera, but Amy took time to encourage me and make me laugh so that I could look and feel my best. I definitely recommend her if you're looking for a photographer!!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I mostly do engagement photography, weddings, and family photography. I have a very photo journalistic style and enjoy capturing interactions. I will only pose when completely necessary. In my opinion when working with people, if you are a good photographer, you wont need to pose. This is why I love engagements and weddings. They are a great mix of both. I love the energy that I get from directing photo shoots with the bridal party; and losing myself in the entire day and capturing every moment and emotion that occurs. What a beautiful thing to witness!!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a photographer, look at how the people in the photographs are set up. Are they super posed or is there a lot of interaction? Great photographers will know how to balance the two styles to create a diverse story. Another thing to look for is the amount of photo editing. A lot of times a photographer will cover up a bad photograph with bad lighting and surroundings with high contrast or an "instagram" looking filter. Filters and contrast can be beautiful, if they are intentional. A lot of times, however, you will see a photographer using them to cover up a lot of bad shots!
