¡Hola! I’m Concetta! I have been teaching college Spanish and tutoring teens & adults since 2006. My Master’s degree is in Spanish Literature. I teach at a university and have lived in Spain, Chile, and Dominican Republic. I love teaching people Spanish, especially if they have a goal to use it for travel, at work or with family. I have experience teaching remotely as well as in person. I have tried learning Spanish on my own using duolingo. It was a great start, but i knew i was lacking a lot. I decided to hire Concetta because of how personable she is. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50/hr, but if you’re unsure about whether or not you want to move forward, I’m glad to give you a 30 minute first lesson free!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everyone has a different way of learning, so I will talk with you about what you’ve done in the past, what your goals are, what you respond well to in terms of text or apps, or if you specifically want to improve speaking or writing, etc. I want everyone to feel comfortable and find a way to make this foreign language less and less foreign to them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Spanish and French and a Masters in Spanish Literature and Cultures. I’ve studied abroad in Spain, Chile and Dominican Republic and return to Spain often.
