About
¡Hola! I’m Concetta! I have been teaching college Spanish and tutoring teens & adults since 2006. My Master’s degree is in Spanish Literature. I teach at a university and have lived in Spain, Chile, and Dominican Republic. I love teaching people Spanish, especially if they have a goal to use it for travel, at work or with family. I have experience teaching remotely as well as in person. Whether you’re a college student trying to improve your grades, a beginner or someone who knows some Spanish already, I will be able to help you meet your goals! I’m looking forward to working with you!

I would highly recommended her to anyone, whether you’re looking to learn Spanish conversationally, or become fully proficient early or later in life! It is rare to find an affordable instructor with such an impressive educational and professional background, in addition to a lifetime of experience, who is humble, easy to learn from, and personable, and she checks all the boxes.

Concetta is a wonderful Spanish tutor and my daughter enjoys her sessions with her. She has a thoughtful curriculum and accurately assesses where a student is so that they can level their skills up. We are really lucky to have found her!

I have tried learning Spanish on my own using duolingo. It was a great start, but i knew i was lacking a lot. I decided to hire Concetta because of how personable she is. We had a quick evaluation call and i knew she will be the right person to help me. She is very responsive and works with my schedule. I have learned so much more just from few weeks working with her than the past year trying to figure things out on my own. I highly recommend Concetta !!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50/hr, for individual lessons but you can add others to your session for an additional $10/person.
I offer on-demand homework help for people in PST and MT time zones daily from 7:00-9:00pm. The cost is $35 for 30 minutes.
If you’re unsure about whether or not you want to move forward, I’m glad to give you a 20 minute trial lesson free!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everyone has a different way of learning, so I will talk with you about what you’ve done in the past, what your goals are, what you respond well to in terms of text or apps, or if you specifically want to improve speaking or writing, etc. I want everyone to feel comfortable and find a way to make this foreign language less and less foreign to them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Spanish and French and a Masters in Spanish Literature and Cultures. I’ve studied abroad in Spain, Chile and Dominican Republic and return to Spain often.
