Never again. I was having issues getting a smart thermostat to work after installing it and not being able to get it to power on. So I had TemperaturePro come out to diagnose the thermostat. I contacted TemperaturePro and scheduled them to come out between 3-4 as I would be working until 2:30. My wife texted me at 2:20 that TemperaturePro was there (40 minutes early) and asking for information that she did not have. When I arrived I walked the HVAC Tech through the situation, that I had already connected the smart thermostat, connected the common wire, checked the connection in the furnace, etc... so the tech emulated what I did, then spent another half hour asking if I'd tried things and then doing them anyways. I was a bit disappointed that the person I was expecting to be a specialist had no more knowledge on diagnosing the thermostat than I did. Eventually, after repeating for the fourth or fifth time that the thermostat clearly was just defective and that I would simply return it and buy a new one, the tech finally conceded and stopped trying. At that point he said he'd have to call in and verify the price. I was quoted the day before for "$59 Total Price" for their thermostat diagnosis, which I agreed to. However, the tech said his manager told him it would be $90. A half hour later, after showing him the message from TemperaturePro with my quote, texting screenshots of that to his manager, and three calls by the tech, the price finally became what they quoted me based upon a "misunderstanding." My experience was unprofessional and poor from start to finish, and I can't see this company lasting long if this is their business approach. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Update: Since I can’t respond to the incredibly petty response Temperature “Pro” sent, I’ll just update this review to set the record straight for any who see this in the future. Temp Pro sent someone out to give a free quote on installing a heat pump. While out he mentioned that I had blown my fuse on my furnace. I had replaced that before the diagnosis for the thermostat. Mentioning that I wasn’t charged for that is the sort of penny pinching two-faced business ethics that I’ve already seen with this company. There were texts sent of screenshots of the quoted price for the diagnosis, to a number the tech told me was the manager at Temp Pro. This was after he spoke with a manager who gave him the 30% higher rate, and another call again after I showed the tech said quote and asked why I was being charged so much more. Then he called a third time when I had to speak with someone. Apparently, “Would that be a total price to figure out connecting my smart thermostat, or is it the $59 plus other hourly fees?” must have confused them into thinking it was an install instead of the diagnosis mentioned in the project description. Regardless, if the pricing and scope of work was changing, that definitely should have been verified and clearly relayed back to the customer. I feel the business response has only further cemented that they are not the kind of business you want to deal with. You shouldn’t have to deal with this, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. At the end of the day, my thermostat still doesn’t work (and it’s not the thermostat, so I’ll need to have a more reputable company do a better diagnosis) and I paid $59 to watch someone do everything I told him I had already done and then argue with their manager for a half hour.

I had a follow up appointment with Greg to install a face plate to cover up the drywall marks from my last thermostat. The ecobee I had ordered from Amazon didn’t come with the stock white plate, so I ordered a black one which I like better. I didn’t trust myself to do it properly so Greg came and installed it in minutes. Not only is Greg a professional, he is enjoyable to talk to. I would highly recommend him and no one else if you need HVAC work done. My wife is thrilled with how it looks which is always a plus! 😁

I had an ecobee smart thermostat premium installed at my house by Greg. Greg came on time, was professional, and completed the job quickly. He is very knowledgeable in his field, as well as personable. Many people who have no knowledge in HVAC/Plumming/Electrician related issues feel anxiety when having to get work done to their home because it’s like a second language to the common person. I did not feel that way with Greg. He explained things clearly. Lastly, he charged me a very reasonable and fair price. Another service provider in Columbus quoted me three times more than what he did. Greg’s company Service First is an accurate representation of his values and work ethic.
