FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have prices on my website, but I've found in the last few years that I need to be versatile and bend with the clients needs. So while I have prices posted, they are flexible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, talk on the phone to determine the client's photographic needs; Second, sometimes the first in-person meeting is just a few minutes before the shoot; but I prefer this meeting to be in-person. This meeting can be at the client's home or convenient coffee shop. If this meeting is at the shoot, we will go over details of the shoot in more detail on the phone or a chat. Either way, this is the time to get to know each other and learn about the process of 'creating' a photograph. We'll then set up the photo shoot and plan the theme(s) for the photos, lighting, mood, and locations or sets. Please note that at my request, Thumbtack has run a background check on me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lots of field work in many related industries including retail and corporate photography and TV studio (camera, audio, editing), photo studio, location, wedding and event photography. Formal training at CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design) and I also instructed photography there.
