- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing for buttercream iced wedding cakes, with traditional flavors is $2.75 per serving. Specialty flavors with buttercream icing are $3.25 per serving. Gourmet flavors with buttercream icing are $3.75 per serving. Difficult or detailed designs, or anything 3D or fondant can add to that price. My delivery price is $30 plus $.40 per mile.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I take as much information as possible so I'm able to give an accurate estimate. The second step is to schedule a free tasting consultation, to go over design in person and taste cake. During the consultation, I sketch out the design that is chosen so the bride has something physical to look at and take with her. Once they have decided to use my services, a $100 deposit is required to book the date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am completely self taught on my decorating skills. I am ServSafe certified through Sinclair Community College.
