About
Hello! I’m a certified yoga teacher with 12 years teaching experience, specializing in therapeutic yoga for trauma or pain. I teach most styles from Ashtanga to Yin. My preference is to teach gentle yoga customized to meet your needs. I’m a lifelong learner and love to research all aspects of yoga; meditation, breath techniques, asana, spiritual aspects and philosophy, and can integrate any or all of these modalities depending on your interests. I stay up to date with scientific studies and keep my students apprised when needed. We’ll chat on a free discovery call to see if my program is a good fit for you.

I have had the pleasure of practicing with Cathy for many years now. We started practicing together as part of CrossFit as flexibility is such an important part of weightlifting and other exercises. Subsequently, I began an individual practice with Cathy and it has evolved into so much more. Yoga with Cathy has been a critical component of managing my stress as well as helping me heal from injuries. Her flexibility and depth of knowledge makes every class new, different and unique to what I need that day. It is a spiritual and mental practice as well as a physical one. As she continues to learn and develop, so do I. She is also a kind, gentle person who looks to better the world one practice at a time. I’m grateful to have her guide me and as a friend.

I started Yoga with Cathy in 2019, I was in need of physical and mental stress relief. I was apprehensive because I had always thought Yoga was for women. I was wrong. Cathy's classes help me to keep moving as fluidly as possible for an old guy, as well as teach me how to stay in the moment with breathing techniques that also help my stress levels from getting out of control. Cathy always asks us how we are feeling physically and emotionally, and she will plan her teaching to work for our needs. I am always amazed at how well she can adjust to help all of us. I look forward to each and every class and feel great because of them. Once you start, you won't want to miss any of her classes. Mark Owens

I am new to yoga so I still have a lot to learn but what I’ve gained so far in just a few sessions with Cathy has been invaluable. Even through a screen she is guiding me well in my beginnings as a yogi.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75 for a one hour session, $100 for 1 hour 15 min. or $50 for 1/2 hr.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do a discovery call, a 10 or 15 minute free call, to assess their needs and decide whether working together to meet their goals would be a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My original certification in 2013 was a 200RYT. In 2024 I became a 500 E-Ryt. That means my training consisted of 500 hours, the E-RYT is experienced registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. I’ve taken many more courses since and gotten certified in CorePower yoga, Yin yoga, Yoga for pain and Yoga for trauma and resilience, also a certification in Prison yoga, which is also for trauma. This is to name just a few of the extra courses I’ve taken. I can provide certificates if asked.
