Josh and Renting Ohio took over management of my 9 unit apartment complex in April. I was previously self-managing with my brother. Josh puts all his energy into management and it shows. Renting Ohio provides many features that should cost a lot of money, like 24 hour phone answering service and internet payment option for the tenants, but he provides them with minimal overhead and he passes the savings on to the owner. Josh takes a personal interest in managing the property properly. He does little things like landscape and pick up trash at the building when necessary. Renting Ohio has its own maintenance people, but allows the owner to stay involved as desired. The most important thing... occupancy: within two months, I went from 6/9 occupied to 8/9 occupied and we have turned away some prospective tenants in favor of waiting for higher quality tenants. I expect to be fully-occupied soon!

I had learned about a job opening as a resident manager at my place of residence. The former resident manager at the time was a person who I often spoke to and got to know very well. We occasionally spoke about career goals and personal interests. So, one day back in the year 2012, he had mentioned that he was planning to pursue another job opportunity and was planning to leave the position. I had always wanted to be in a position where I felt I could make a difference and help have a positive impact in the lives of other people. It was also a way I could begin to gain a form of management experience. So, when the job opening became available, I met with the owners of the property, expressed an interest, and was offered the position. I have enjoyed working in this position and would like to be able to reach my full potential in this industry.
