Brian was very easy to work with, from estimate to completion. I had him power wash a 2 year new deck and stain it. He took great care in protecting my property, (and my neighbors) when spraying the shadow box fencing. He really impressed the neighbor too! The only reason I gave one star is because I couldn't give zero. This company gave me an estimate on a project in December then told me his schedule was full until January. I tried to contact and never received a call back or response to texts. Recently put up another project and he responded and when I told him about previous problem he then stopped responding again. Hi Stanley, I apologize for not getting to your estimate. I am a one man show, not a big company. I do all the estimating, invoicing, material runs and the actual on-site labor, my the hours burn by quickly. I only bring in helpers for the demo work and heavy lifting as needed, so I often run out of time to do estimates. I normally only use Thumbtack to fill in during my slow times between whole house rehabs and rental property make-readies, so sometimes my response to Thumbtack request get put on the back-burner. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I use the National Home Improvement Estimator software for all my estimating and invoicing. It helps keep estimating consistent and up to date with current market pricing. It generally helps in figuring out the labor man hours and materials cost per job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Normally like to meet for a FREE ESTIMATE. I like to look over the project and take measurements, then follow-up by sending them the estimate thru Thumbtack or their personal e-mail, then schedule a start date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I gained most of my knowledge thru on the job training. Electrical maintenance & installation thru the Air Force, various other trades thru working for other contractors. I am also a certified Home Inspector and Realtor.
