I requested a move-out clean for 1br ~800 sqft apt. Most of my stuff was already out and needed basic cleaning of all rooms and appliances. I'm not sure if there was communication gap between Thumbtack & company, or between company & cleaner, but the cleaner arrived with no idea or expectations of what he was supposed to do. I was very specific in my thumbtack request (including window and appliance cleaning). I was scared at first, but the cleaner assured me that he would get it all done. Sure enough, he exceeded expectation and got mostly everything clean. I say 'mostly' because he wasn't able to remove black stains from inside the stove. This, and the communication issue, stop me from giving an "Excellent" review. The stove stain, indeed seemed to be burnt in, and the apartment complex did not charge us for it, so all is good... but I wonder whether he would have brought stronger tools if he had known stove-cleaning was part of it.
It was a 1 person job and he finished in about 2.5 hours (the estimate was 3-4 hours, but I agreed to a flat fee, not an hourly rate). Also, I commend Paul for being patient with me. I arrived 35 minutes late to the 2pm appointment time (he was there 10-15 minutes early). Again, a point against thumbtack or the company because I left a Thumbtack reply saying I was going to be late, but the message was never relayed to the cleaner.
