FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate for all of my services. I e-mail you a quote for your event and my price reflects me operating for the entire length of an event and not hourly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Either I contact them through thumbtack initially or they contact me if they saw me at a wedding or got my information via word of mouth. I give them my spiel about my services and then answer any questions they might have. Assuming they want to move forward with me as their DJ/photobooth guy, I send them a contract to review along with planning materials to get them started thinking about the music and events they want to include in their celebration. From there we coordinate via phone/e-mail or may meet in person closer to the day of the event to go over any final changes, then we are ready to party!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I teach public speaking courses at Kent State University which really helps with my MC'ing skills and vice versa as I talk a lot about my experiences as a DJ in the classroom. DJ'ing middle school dances helps to keep me up to date with the latest music releases. Additionally, I read up on music charts like the billboard top 100 and am constantly listening to music to stay current.
