What do you look for when hiring a contractor.. a professional, someone who does quality work at a fair and reasonable price and most importantly (at least to me) someone you feel comfortable with because let’s face it this person could be in your house for a few weeks or even a few months. Well, all I can say is that Bill checked all the boxes. From the moment I met him I immediately felt comfortable with him… when you know, you know and after meeting five other contractors I knew the minute I met him that Bill was the one I wanted to hire and he didn’t disappoint! It took about three months for Bill and his partner Kyle, who was just as nice and knowledgeable as Bill, to finish my basement. They not only kept me informed every step of the way, but they also made some great suggestions that really improved the finished product. They were very responsive to all my questions and never made me feel uncomfortable asking anything! I can’t emphasis this enough that their years of experience makes a difference. They truly went over and above to make sure I was happy. These guys have integrity and take great pride in their work. I couldn’t have been happier with my finishedbasement and playroom for the grandkids! I would hire Bill and Kyle a million times over for any future contracting jobs I have. I can’t recommend them enough.. my adult sons have seen the finished product and have already asked me for their contact information! Let me preface this review by stating that I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I am a real estate agent however I have no affiliation with any specific contractors of any type therefore I have nothing to gain by writing this. This review is based solely on my own experience with Bill Lewis for the inspections he performed on my own home. Having said that, I deal with home inspectors all of the time and like any profession there are some that are better then others. I just feel as though credit should be given where it’s due so I’m writing this review from a view point that the average home owner probably doesn’t have because of my active involvement with inspections for my clients. Bill was tremendous in every way possible. Not only did he spend almost 4 hours at our home (not the norm…usually whole house inspections are completed within 1.5-2 hrs). This is a reflection of how very thorough he is. Not only does he have decades of construction experience but he’s also a teacher who knows a ton about every component of home construction. He was very accommodating, patient and took the time to explain all details of his findings using terms easily understandable regarding construction/electrical/plumbing/architecture etc. I can’t stress enough the importance of having someone like Bill who IS certified (many people don’t realize that very often “home inspectors” are not nor do they have to be certified. He performed tests on every aspect of our home and went above and beyond any inspection I’ve ever been a part of. He explained which repairs should take priority and which ones are superficial/cosmetic. We are very pleased with using his services and would vouch for his professional integrity any time. I 110% recommend using Lewis Property Inspection and Contracting for any building service you have.

We had a flood in our basement and had to work with our insurance for Payment. Bill began the work immediately even while we waited in insurance and remodeled our basement, he even built a new wall!!

I typically charge $50 to show up to the job and $50 for each hour of work. I can provide free estimates for larger jobs

I typically will contact the customer to get specifics on the job-request, provide a quote within a specified time frame and allow the customer to contact me with further questions, or to set up a date to complete the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed teacher with the State of Ohio, I teach construction technology, which includes the basics of wiring, framing, plumbing, and drywall. I went to Ohio State University for my formal educational training.
I also worked in the commercial and residential building fields for many years. I have experience in building homes from start to finish (I built my own and helped with others), and constructing commercial buildings.
