- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Actually, this is a funny story. I went to school for Business, never once cared that much for Photography/Arts. I mean, sure, I liked to take pictures of my friends with my little Canon point-and-shoot, but nothing that exciting... until one day. My Mom had an old Nikon d40 laying around and I picked it up at an Easter "Crawfish boil" (I'm from New Orleans) and starting snapping pictures of my baby cousin from across the room. I felt complete - I felt so incredibly happy behind the lens and when I printed the photos out, I realized that they were really really good. So, I knew right then that Photography was going to have a long term effect. It took me about a year after that to diverge into Weddings, though. And I was offered an internship with a Wedding Photographer and couldn't say no - and I am SO happy I didn't. I learn so much every single weekend.
