FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates vary from job to job. Some are charged time and materials and some are quoted. A job may require special tooling or fixtures which increase cost, or it may be a simple job that can be done with tooling on hand in minimal time. Large/ heavy parts are harder to move and generally take more time to set up. Not all shops can accomodate larger work which means having those capabilites justify a higher rate. Rates: Portable Welding $75/hr. Portable/Certified Welding $125/hr. In-Shop Welding/Fab $50/hr. In-Shop Certified Welding $75/hr. Light Machining $35/hr. Medium Machining $50/hr. Heavy Machining $75/hr.
