- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associate’s Degree in Practical Nursing and am currently working towards obtaining my BSN. I am very proud of the skills and experience that I have to offer as a Professional Housecleaner. My experience plays a positive role in how I clean and the thoroughness that I provide in completing cleaning tasks. I not only clean your home but I sanitize as well. Before I leave your home you can be sure that it has been disinfected in places that receive the most hand touch traffic such as doorknobs, light switches, faucets and handles. Richard has a bachelor of science degree in History and is also proud to be a Marine. The Marine Corp is where he not only learned cleaning techniques but procedures that insure nothing is over looked.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Richard is a Marine and I have over 9 years of experience in the cleaning industry, including commercial and residential cleaning. I have gained the skills for success in this business over time and from a few different educational and work sources. I found my way to the housekeeping field as a nursing student. During school I had mentioned my need for supplemental income that didn't interfere with my strenuous and demanding study and class schedule. One of my professors kindly suggested and offered that I clean her house monthly. I accepted and found that I not only REALLY enjoyed housecleaning but that I am perfectly fit for this work because I am meticulous in nature with an eye for detail. I have past experience in commercial cleaning working as an interior commercial aircraft cleaner. I am able to hone this past experience in airline cleaning into house cleaning which has brought some very important qualities to my work ethic and skill such as speed in completing tasks, level of standard in clean, detailing, and ability to complete each job to the same standard of excellence each and every time. I also have many years of experience working in hotel administration. The largest hotel that I was employed at had 396 rooms. My long term executive role as the assistant to the General Manager gave me a broad level of skill sets and an opportunity to learn about and stay tuned in to each Department of the hotel including Housekeeping. Every hotel or resort that I have been employed at has had outstanding first rate standards in service and quality. I am blessed to be able to bring such levels of standards in quality and service to my customers. My background and experience in customer service, hospitality and commercial cleaning sets me apart from other cleaning services.
