FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free consultation to get us started. I'm very glad to hear your budget and work out a project and price that works for both of us. I work by project price, not hourly. I will also send you a contract before you pay, so that you know exactly what you are getting for the price you pay (example: two 3 inch silhouette character designs of bears, or three drafts of a 4 second animation, etc.) I try to be as detailed as possible so that you know exactly what you are receiving.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I offer a free phone or email consultation. Animation in particular is unfamiliar to a lot of people, so please ask questions! After discussing your project, I try to give you a price quote within the next business day. Please let me know if my price is not right for you; it is most likely adjustable. Once we agree on a price, I'll send you a contract that details what you will receive from me and when, and how to cancel the project if that need arises. We both sign and then I will usually send you the project in several drafts, so that you can give me feedback and discuss changes as we go.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Digital Media Arts, Animation. This involved creating short films, illustrations, and comic strips under critique and instruction from professional filmmakers and illustrators.
