FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you have just a handful of small stuff, for an example. Installing new faucets or receptacles (Plug-Ins), repairing a few small holes in sheetrock, resetting a door due to house settling. This type of work, I charge $30 an hour. If you have more than 2 days of work that needs to be done, this is where I will give an estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet the customer in person and also to visually see the customer's projects that they need completed first hand. I like to go over these projects with the customer so we make sure that we are both on the same page before any work begins. I show up the next morning with all the materials needed to complete the task at hand.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a fitter welder for 15 years. This is where I learned all the fundamentals of building a structure. I absolutely could not stand being in the welding trade after losing so much time with my family. Missing my son's baseball and soccer games because I had to work is a prime example on why I gave up the welding history. I started remodeling houses on the side two and a half years before I quit welding. I absolutely loved it and I've been doing it for 7 years now. I'm 41 years old.
