Michael Blackburn is the best handyman in Tulsa. I needed to get my office done and reached out to Michael at 4 PM, he came to my house the same day at 6 PM to build my standing desk, mount my monitors, set up my mic, and lights all in one day! He is willing to do the work and does it really well. He’s very professional, reliable, trustworthy, and has a great personality. If you are looking for someone reliable and affordable, Michael is your guy! He is my go to person now for anything I need fixed or built!

I highly recommend Blackburns Inovations for repairs and remodeling around the home.. was very professional and personable while completing this project. Did a great job, in a timely manner, and was very reasonably priced. Check them out for all your home improvement needs.. 👍🏻

Michael was not just very professional, he also had a great attitude with the way that he conducted his business. He repaired half of the soffits around my house that were rottened out, replaced half of my privacy fence and fixed my gate to my back yard. Hey did all this work for half the price that I was estimated at with three different companies. I highly recommend his services to anybody and he will be the only handyman that I call in the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you have just a handful of small stuff, for an example. Installing new faucets or receptacles (Plug-Ins), repairing a few small holes in sheetrock, resetting a door due to house settling. This type of work, I charge $30 an hour. If you have more than 2 days of work that needs to be done, this is where I will give an estimate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet the customer in person and also to visually see the customer's projects that they need completed first hand. I like to go over these projects with the customer so we make sure that we are both on the same page before any work begins. I show up the next morning with all the materials needed to complete the task at hand.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a fitter welder for 15 years. This is where I learned all the fundamentals of building a structure. I absolutely could not stand being in the welding trade after losing so much time with my family. Missing my son's baseball and soccer games because I had to work is a prime example on why I gave up the welding history. I started remodeling houses on the side two and a half years before I quit welding. I absolutely loved it and I've been doing it for 7 years now. I'm 41 years old.
