The team with Brent was very nice, fast, and professional. Plus, the price they were asking was very reasonable. It was a local move and we had a piano and some delicate furniture. And we need to move stuff into two places, our apartment unit and a storage space. They organized their flow very well and did not spend much time to load/unload into two places. I would hire them again.

This moving company went above and beyond what I expected. My hospital bed was added at the last minute and need for another mover Katheryn who I contacted on Friday when we were do to move Monday she was on vacation took the time to secure the extra worker and all were all on time ready to go to work. It was a long day for all of us. The movers were polite and help with out hesitation or reservation. My mother of 80'years was so worried about me having MS and moving both of us was no small task but these movers did a really good job and we are forever great full to have chosen them to move us. Please contact them and see for yourself what an outstanding job with expertise in what they do. They very carefully and thoughtfully moved and put everything together in record time were we wanted things to be. I can only say that if you are looking for movers this is the best ones to hire for your move. Thank you so much for moving my mother and I. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone. The three movers were friendly, efficient, and careful. They did in five and a half hours what would have taken my girlfriend and I two to three days to do. They managed to get all of our furniture and boxes into one load, even when it was looking like it might not all fit. (We had a lot to move.) Nothing was broken or damaged. Each of them had a great sense of humor, and we had some fun conversations along the way. The rates were typical. I like that they offered three movers instead of two. This made very good use of the time. This company was the only one on Thumbtack that responded to my initial query by including the ODOT publication on hiring movers. This went a long way in establishing confidence in this company, as they were actively demonstrating their compliance with state regulations for moving. I would definitely hire PDX Premier College Movers again if the need arose.

I booked PDX Premier College Movers, even though they were not the least expensive option, mainly because of Brent's GREAT communication, assuring me that they would do a good job and there would be no hidden charges. The guys (Dane, Titus and Antonio) showed up at my house with a 26' truck yesterday morning, in a great mood and ready to work. I told them I'd be happy to help them load, but they said "We got this." And they did! They moved 26 boxes of books from the second floor of my home, 2 or 3 at a time, practically running down the stairs! "Book box aerobics!" Titus yelled enthusiastically, as I looked on in amazement. They worked so well together, that there was no issues getting the truck loaded in the most efficient and safe manner. I don't even have the words to describe how awesome these guys are. They were more than willing to do anything I asked of them. This is my 2nd move in less than a year, and most of the same stuff that we had last year, that took 2 loads and almost 11hours to move, this time took 4 1/2, in one load. Wish I had booked these guys last year! Highly recommend!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is set by the Acceleration Transportation Bureau, and approved by the state of Oregon, ODOT. It is a set hourly rate, and unfortunately we're legally restrained from allowing any type of discount at this time.
If you find other companies offering a much cheaper hourly rate, or a cheaper flat quoted price, you are likely receiving this quote from an unlicensed, and uninsured moving company. An unlicensed, or "illegal moving company," should not be charging anywhere near the rates of a licensed company, as they obviously don't have any of the real overhead that we actually carry. Costs such as property insurance, cargo insurance, and workers comp, are the reason our rates are set by these authorities, so don't be fooled by similar yet cheaper pricing, always research to make sure your hiring a real, qualified, licensed, and most importantly, a insured professional, no matter what the service your requesting.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to try to schedule a personal walk thru, where we can have a business representative go out and meet the potential customer in person, while also getting a much better perspective on what the job will entail, and how long it will likely take to complete the move itself.
If they're only available over the phone, we try to ask any questions we think will be relevant in us being able to help give the customer a timely accurate quote. We want to try and help them visualize any potential obstacle ahead of time, so they can either handle it beforehand, or let us know about it, giving us the preparation we need to be able to handle whatever it may be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I personally have over 7 years of experience of moving household goods now, which I believe qualifies myself to be a very experienced mover. I've completed multiple training classes and seminars, provided my own training regimes to other companies employees, as well as provided the training to our own employees.
Aside from the substantial amount of work experience, we keep pushing ourselves through college, trying to finish school, learning how to build a business, market a service, and working to establish our brand.
