Sean has been teaching our 3 girls since last summer. He is amazing! His lessons are fun. Girls enjoy lessons every week and kids actually practice piano without me asking. Also he is very patient with our youngest 6 yo, who can not sit still yet. Highly recommend Sean!

Details: 6 - 9 years old • No, the student cannot read music • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Classical • Yes, the student has a piano • 30 minutes • My home, venue, etc.

Our boys started lessons at a “store-front franchise” music school and over about 6 months had already changed teachers four times. It was good. But for around the same cost we are, I feel, getting 10x the value with the personalized, catered, at-home lessons from Sean. He is professional and his teaching style is nothing short of amazing. Makes me want to learn too, though not the right season in life for me (not because I’m too old—I’ll learn sometime soon ;) ). HIGHLY recommended.

Details: 6 - 9 years old • No, the student cannot read music • 0 - 2 yrs of formal training • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has a keyboard • 45 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Fall Semester Piano Lesson Package = $840 (1 make up available per month) Option 1: You can make 4 monthly auto payments of $210 through debit or credit card. Option 2: You may pay your entire package's balance through debit or credit card in one payment prior to the first lesson for a 10% discount! This brings the price down to $756.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually begin by asking questions pertaining to the student's experience prior to our meeting. Then, we talk about what music you are interested in. It is most important for me to know what kind of experience you wish to have with music. A quick example, many students wish to dedicate their time to learning how to read classical western music notation, but other students come in with their phones and simply play me a song on their phone, and we work together to create an arrangement of that song that is compatible with their current skills. There is no one kind of piano lesson for me, it is entirely modeled after the student's interests.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained in Music Composition at The Juilliard School, and received my Bachelor's in Music in 2014. I have been teaching piano privately since 2012.
