FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge the maket rate, usually by the square foot. There are less expensive installers out there, as well as more expensive. But I know of nobody who charges less than I do, while providing the quality, durability, and craftsmanship that I build into each installation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet with you in person at the project location. Here we will discuss the project, and I will take measurements in order to accurately bid the project. I will then work up an estimate, and email it to you. Usually this takes several days to turn around.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
During 2003- 2004 I apprenticed under a professional tile installer before I began working for homeowners. I have 19 years of experience remodelling bathrooms and kitchens all over the Portland area. I have built and installed tile in a large number of showers, tub surrounds, floors, and kitchen counters and back splashes. I have often worked alongside General Contractors, as well as homeowners.
