About
Hi, I’m a stay-at-home dad turned handyman with years of hands-on experience keeping homes running smoothly. From assembling furniture and toys to fixing what’s broken, hanging pictures, painting, tiling and setting up tech, I’ve done it all—and I actually enjoy the work.
I know how busy life can get, and my goal is to take those lingering tasks off your plate so you can enjoy your space without the stress. I take pride in doing the job right the first time, leaving no mess and no missing pieces. Reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented—you can count on me to treat your home with the same care I give my own.

Rich helped us get ready for a bathroom remodel project, removing fixtures and baseboards so we can get busy with the tile and wallpaper. He was very communicative before around details, was on time, and did a great job. Well def have Rich back when it’s time to install the new vanity!

Rich hung two curtain rods for me. They were wood rods, and the brackets were more complicated than the normal metal rods that look like wood. He did an amazing job taking his time to make sure that they were perfect!!!! I am really happy that he did such an amazing job. I am ordering another rod, and he will be the one I call for installation for sure. Rich thanks again so much.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a 1 hour minimum plus any materials I have to provide.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’ll usually start by chatting through Thumbtack to go over the details of your project and find a time that works for both of us. Once we’ve agreed on the job and scheduled a time, you’ll let me know where the work will be done and how you prefer that I contact you.
After the work is done, I can either send you an invoice to pay later or accept payment on the spot—whatever’s easiest for you. It’s not uncommon for us to chat about other projects while I’m there, and I’m always happy to schedule a follow-up to tackle more items on your list.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned a lot from my dad, who was a tradesman. He taught me how to approach a project without fear—and how to see it through. Later, my time working in commercial construction taught me the value of slowing down to plan things right, so I could be efficient and deliver quality results. Since then, I’ve graduated from what I call the School of Soft Knocks: years of maintaining my own home and handling all the small (and not-so-small) jobs that come with it. That hands-on experience has given me a wide range of practical skills that I put to use every day.
