Hired on Thumbtack

Thanks to Greg and his crew, Scott & Tom, when this batty PNW weather permits, we've been enjoying our bucolic back yard atop a fantastic deck for just about a year. The previous owners left behind a deathtrap excuse of a porch, so when as a 1st time home owner never having contracted work before I began the search, was rather overwhelmed. Greg was the *only* one to answer my 'thumbtack' inquiry and despite the distance from town, traveled out to assess and bid on the admittedly modest project. I can really thank his Second, Scott, for moving it forward, as it was on his insistence that what I envisaged could come in on budget with some tweaks. Working quickly and efficiently, this glorious addition was ready in a matter of days. Clearly the group compliments one another and gets down to business producing grand construction. However, there was some confusion as to the final product due to a rather ambiguous contract and miscommunication. I think G took a hit in making it right: no doubt his pride of workmanship could not allow for a cheap and tacky remedy to the issue. Guests both new and old were wowed by such a dramatic (and safe!) change to the backside of the home. And with good reason, we couldn't be happier with what they built and would recommend such talents.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes we do ,we take offered classes required by the Construction Contractors Board to better ourselves in the construction field. There are various venders who offer free classes that you get credit for with the CCB .
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always liked making things new again, like remodeling a home ! My father was a professional builder and maintenance man , my brother a professional painter so I was always involved on some project with them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are Remodels bathrooms, kitchens, interior restoration & exterior roofing, siding , painting. New construction is another common type , new houses, garages, additions, apartments, lg. scale structures
