FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in fair, transparent pricing with no surprises. Whenever possible, I provide upfront pricing or a clear estimate before work begins. For larger or more complex projects, I may recommend an on-site visit to provide the most accurate quote. If an on-site estimate fee applies, it is credited toward the project when I'm hired. My goal is to deliver quality work at a fair price while respecting your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning about your project and asking a few questions to understand exactly what you need. Photos are often helpful and can save time. Once I understand the scope of the work, I'll provide an estimate or schedule an on-site visit if needed. I arrive on time, communicate throughout the project, treat your home with respect, and make sure you're satisfied before considering the job complete.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I own and operate Doug's Home and Tech LLC and am a licensed Oregon contractor (CCB #259541). Over the years I've gained hands-on experience performing a wide variety of home repairs, furniture assembly, drywall repair, fence and gate repairs, shelving installation, TV mounting, smart home setup, and computer and technology services. I continue learning new techniques and best practices to provide reliable, quality workmanship.
