Lara S. says, "We uncovered some significant rot in an exterior wall behind our shower this week when prepping for re-tiling the bath. I contacted Mike and he was able to come out yesterday to take a look and help us plan, keep the scope limited, and today the work is complete! It involved some floor and wall framing and plywood, as well as the reinstallation of a small window and removal and re-installation of exterior t&g cedar siding - not the simplest scope. Mike and Brian were very professional, experienced, motivated and efficient, and left the work area tidy. They did a great job and were friendly while doing it. They are definitely a go-to outfit and we will be hiring them again in future, without hesitation!"See more

Tracy M. says, "Sean and his team were like family by the end of our project. We started with a kitchen remodel. When the cabinets came off the walls we found there was water damage. Sean was in contact with me right away assuring me they would take care of it. They had the pipe section replaced, all damaged materials around the leak replaced, and the wall closed back up with drywall within 16 hours. It wasn’t just the urgency that the team took care of it, it was the way Sean calmed me and made sure I felt supported and that he had my back. We ended up adding projects as we were going through the kitchen remodel and Sean and his team just rolled with it happily. They actually replaced all the flooring in our great room living area after the water damage was found, without us clearing out all the furniture and boxes piled in there for the kitchen and dining remodel. What!?! That was magic. They did everything to make this as hassle free as possible for us. I was sick during a few weeks of construction and Sean’s wife even brought me tea from Starbucks. When it came to wrapping things up and the first walk through, Sean took a picture of every little mark and issue I pointed out and made sure each one was fixed to our satisfaction, even if that meant replacing the trim piece, or re-doing something. Customer satisfaction was clearly paramount. He takes pride in the work that they do and their reputation, so they make sure the customer is happy. Sean even offered to lend us some of the guys to help move furniture back after the work was done. ❤️ It should be noted that this remodel happened over the Christmas/New Years holidays and this team did not miss a beat after each holiday they were back with smiles and ready to go! (We liked the guys who were at the house daily, a lot, and gave them tequila and cash tips for the holidays! 😉) We are still putting everything away and deciding on what to keep. Everything looked so beautiful in the kitchen that we are replacing our living room furniture now too. So I don’t want to photos of before and after yet because our junk is still all over the counters and boxes on the floor since we are slowly still buying furniture and decorating. Hopefully I can add pictures after I post. I didn’t want to wait any longer to give my shout out to our contractor. Sean Malt Construction will be coming back to remodel our master bathroom. Just as soon as we finish OUR part of the first remodel!! 😉"See more

Dave D. says, "We purchased a house and had about 4 weeks before we moved in. We wanted to hire a handyman (for a planned date about a week before we moved in) for a full 8 hour day that could tackle a list of items that we creating over those 3 weeks. Just about everybody I contacted had to know exactly what I wanted done before they would give me pricing for an 8 hour day. This was frustrating as I thought to my self.... what does it matter? As long as I do not go outside of your list of handyman services you provide for home interiors and I am hiring you for 8 hours to work down our priority list, with the understanding that you may not be able to finish it, then why do you have to make it difficult and have me produce the exact list. Then I contacted Jessi at Duncks and he made it easy. He said as long as we had the understanding that everything would be ready for them (ie. if we want add a doorstop we will buy it and have the it there), and we did not ask for anything that was listed that they do not do, then here is your price for 8 hours. He also included an extra helper with him which, in mind, is huge advantage for getting work done more efficiently. We hired him, had our list ready and sent it to him a few days before he came so he could bring the right tools. On our list were a variety of items including adding plywood to a wall in an upstairs storage room, hanging tv's, putting up shelves, replacing a shower head, building a media cabinet (ordered from Amazon), putting ikea cabinets (that we built before he got there) into our primary closet (the closet just had long shelving and closet rods and he made nice clean cuts to the shelving and poles, slid in the ikea cabinets with drawers and baskets and attached the shortened shelves and poles to the side of the ikea cabinet), added a door catch, and several other items. We had our list prioritized with expectations that it would not all get done, but he and his helper (Brian) got it all finished! They were great problem solvers and there workmanship was excellent. And nothing but pleasant to work with. The value we got for the work was wonderful in every way. I would hire them again."See more
