Glenn arrived to haul away several large pieces of furniture within minutes of his ETA. Prompt, great communication, friendly and very fair pricing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, and I will definitely be rehiring him for some other projects I have in mind.

We are so pleased with Song /Gravity NW's work (cleaning our microfiber couch and reupholstering 6 dining room chairs) that we also hired him to refinish our treasured antique drop leaf table. Song is diligent, conscientious and honest.

Mario came out to my house to assemble an IKEA dresser. He was prompt and on time. The project ended up being more complicated and taking longer but he was so kind and didn't charge extra. I would recommend MTJ to anyone!!!! I am hoping to get some custom furniture from them in the near future.

We brought an old chest of drawers to Ed Reinstein for refinishing. The piece had been thoroughly painted white with gold trim by my mother sometime in the 1960s, completely covering the beautiful birdseye maple veneer. Ed patiently removed the paint, bringing out the veneer with care, and revealed to us a beautiful piece of family furniture that we are amazed with and will treasure forever. We are proud to recommend this fine craftsman to anyone that wants to know what is beneath the paint and grime on a family heirloom. Thank you, Ed !

John was great to work with. He assembled the furniture that we requested and even took on another project that we hadn't planned on. He's also great about offering other services and recommendations. He was kind enough to haul out a bunch of trash and recycling from the packing material for the furniture since our building can't handle that volume of disposal. We'd definitely hire him again as a handyman, and would consider reaching out to him for other skills as well.

Amazing work! John built a beautiful "secret" kitchen door. Listened to my ideas and designed, built and installed. It turned out exactly as I had pictured it.

About

Right now, I am building patio furniture in my shop. Previously, I owned a remodeling company, a water line company, and a roofing company. I was a journeyman carpenter and foreman with the carpenters' union. I was a superintendent in the private sector and a project manager up until the depression, when most, if not all, construction ended. I had been a commercial fisherman in Alaska and a gold miner. I have an old-school work ethic, but my best qualities, I feel, are my demand for perfection -- which means 'good enough' is not in my vocabulary -- and my knack for solving problems -- for instance, in my shop if I can't find or buy something I need, I can make it.

Creating a kitchen for a client, requires 3 essential values: originality, function and lifestyle. The first is an understanding of lifestyle, this is the foundation. Second is function, which is central and most important. Style is the last in the conceptual designing of an original on of a kind kitchen, In this I introduce a Japanese, Craftsman or Euro feel, or a combination of styles.
