FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate for cleaning, so if it takes a little longer, you won't be charged more. Some tasks/projects are an additional fee. The fee for houses with (shedding) pets is because they take quite a bit longer to clean properly.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well, I did data analysis work for a long time, went back to school, got a degree in science and fell into bookkeeping for breweries and farmers for over a decade. I started teaching myself to work on cars during the pandemic while taking care of my son and realized I really didn't want to go back to working in an office. I found that I enjoy doing physical work and my detail-oriented nature is well-suited to the style of cleaning I do. I am happier doing this work than I have been in any previous employment.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise folks to look for a service that specifically highlights the type of cleaning you are looking for (thorough and detailed or fast and budget-friendly). Do you want the same person to clean your house each time? Let the cleaner know up front what areas or tasks are of the highest priority to you. Another tip, the more cleared off and clutter-free surfaces are, the more efficient and detailed the cleaning you receive will be. 🙂
