Emily has been a fantastic personal trainer. She has curated a bespoke plan for me that works with my schedule, body type, temperament and energy level. I’m always able to focus on different things in each session so that I never feel monotony and I always leave feeling incredibly rejuvenated and energized. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a customized and effective experience.Jun 8, 2020Verified

I worked with Emily when she was at Equinox and cannot wait to begin training with her again! She helped me get in shape for the first time ever, and educated me about body mechanics, mind-muscle connection, recovery, and how to fuel my body with proper nutrition. Her education, compassion, communication skills, pleasant personality & diverse workouts made transitioning to a healthier, fitter lifestyle fun and sustainable.Jun 10, 2020Verified
Emily is a first class amazing trainer. Her workouts are excellent and she designs smart workouts for your whole body with emphasis on the areas that you need. She also is assist in nutrition and motivation. She is a trainer who will help you get to your goals efficiently. She is very professional and has a great attitude. I trained with her for many months and we had to stop due to COVID. I give her a five star and would use her again.Jun 8, 2020Verified
I highly recommend Emily to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. Emily provides a clear roadmap to get you from your starting point to your target goal in the least amount of time. After 10 weeks of working with Emily, I have lost 10 pounds while gaining a considerable amount of muscle (this is very difficult to achieve, but especially so at 53!). Most importantly, I have regained much of my youth including the ability to run a few miles. I could not run, period, prior to EB’s program. Emily uses a wholistic model that includes nutrition, mobility, stability, strength, and body composition (weight gain/loss). Whatever your challenge, Emily’s assessment will find the right solution for you. Just add work and commitment and you will see results.Jun 7, 2020Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I begin with a complimentary phone consultation in which the following are discussed in detail: health and fitness goals, previous exercise experience and current routine, current nutrition regimen, pertinent medical history, and scheduling. If the potential client determines that they’d like to try a session with me, I offer the session for 50% off my base rate. Before the session begins, I conduct a movement assessment to determine any movement compensations or areas of weakness that need to be addressed prior to the workout to ensure a safe and effective session. After the first workout I ask for feedback from the client and lay out a succinct long-term plan of action to meet the client’s goals. At that point, if the client would like to move forward, we discuss scheduling and next steps.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?NASM - CPT (certified personal trainer), NASM - PES (performance enhancement specialist), NASM - CES (corrective exercise specialist), Animal Flow Instructor (dynamic bodyweight training), Russian Kettle Bells Level 2 certified, Triggerpoint Therapy certified.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I’ve been active my whole life, but as a teenager I discovered that I had PCOS - poly cystic ovarian syndrome. This hormone imbalance made it particularly difficult for me to manage my nutrition and maintain a healthy weight. Through my education in different functional training modalities and nutrition I was able to get myself in shape and maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. I’m now passionate about helping others do the same!
