- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Megan Morgan Photography offers portraits in studio or on location. Studio portraits are reserved for small children and newborns only. All family and group sessions are accomplished outdoors with weather permitting. Working around the Oregon rainy season isnt always easy but it is what we have to do. On Location portraits may be completed at one or two of your favorite spots around the Portland areas. MMP is willing to travel but additional fees may apply. MMP events include the session fee AND photographer chosen edited images on high resolution digital media. Printing is recommended through photographer to ensure proper color, clarity and quality, but not required. FAMILY, MATERNITY, and SENIORS: Session includes a 1-2 hour sitting, multiple outfit changes, and 25+ edited images from your session on high resolution digital media in color and black & white. WAS $400/ NOW $200 BIRTH: Birth photography is getting extremely popular. It is a phenomenal way to capture those first moments of meeting the new baby. When going into labor, you call me! I will be there for all of babies first moments from labor all the way to meeting baby for the first time. Session timing depends on however long the event takes. High resolution digital media will include 50-150 edited images in color and black & white. WAS $500/ NOW $250 FRESH 48: Perfect for those parents who arent comfortable with having their birth photographed. This mini session takes place within the first 48 hours after birth (the sooner the better) at the birth center or hospital. The session timing is approx. 60-90 minutes. The Fresh 48 captures those first milestones in the hospital like breastfeeding, meeting siblings or family members, dads first diaper change, and your first family photo. Session includes 1-1.5 hour sitting and 25+ edited images in color and black & white on high resolution digital media. WAS $250/ NOW $125 CAKE SMASH & CHILDREN: Session timing includes a 1 hour sitting, multiple outfit changes, and 25+ edited images on high resolution digital media in color and black & white. WAS $250/ NOW $125 NEWBORNS: Session timing includes a 2-3 hour sitting and 25+ edited photos in color and black & white will be provided on high resolution digital media. WAS $500/ NOW $250 *Sneak peeks are usually done within 24 hours of your session, however, please allow up to 3 weeks for final images to be completed. *All sessions include a print release. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken a few newborn classes, studio lighting classes, and posing classes online along with my knowledge of natural light and customer service.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took a photography class in high school and fell in love. I remember another friend and I would skip school just to go take photos for our class which was at the end of the day. Having my camera in my hand makes me smile and looking at the photos I create makes me proud.
