Owner and founder Jon Davidson is the reigning Bite Of Oregon Iron Mixologist champion, and hosts a biweekly mixology TV segment on Portland's KATU, Channel 2, as well as other stations around the country. He has designed cocktails for over 40 bars in the United States and México.

Jon bartended a surprise party for my husband on short notice. Cannot speak more highly of his communication, his treatment of our guests, and his bartending skills. I wish I threw parties more often so I had reason to hire him more often. Don’t hesitate to hire him.

I’ve been putting off writing this review because I honestly don’t know how to put into words how special Jon and Kathleen made our big day. I wrote reviews for my other vendors the night of the wedding, but I held off on this one until I could really capture how much they meant to us. It hadn’t occurred to me before the wedding that my choice of vendor could actually elevate the entire vibe of the celebration and make it feel more special—not just for us, but for our guests. Even though my wedding was one of hundreds to them, they treated it like the once-in-a-lifetime event it was for me, and that made my memories so much sweeter.
I’ll be honest—I originally chose them on Thumbtack based on cost. I didn’t think there was much else to factor in, because I didn’t realize how much two people could add to our day. I got so lucky. The service we received was worth triple what I paid.
They were the first vendors I booked, and Jon’s communication set the bar so high that when I booked others later, I was surprised they weren’t three steps ahead the way Jon always was!
My very first question for him was: “Are you cool with doing a lesbian wedding?” He immediately responded with the most heartfelt, affirming message—it moved me to tears. In a climate where being LGBTQ can feel scary, I felt embraced and reassured by his response.
On the wedding day I was in a panic setting up, so when Jon and Kathleen walked up, I didn’t even realize who they were. Of course they were the first to arrive (overachievers 😉). I wasn’t expecting Kathleen, but she came—free of charge—just because she was available. I honestly thought they were early wedding guests because I was so stressed and sweaty. I’d forgotten vendors would be arriving while I was setting up. I basically word-vomited about everything that had gone wrong, and they immediately made me feel better.
They jumped in without hesitation. I asked Jon to clean up some glass shards I’d broken earlier—he did. When my mom arrived late with beer and ice, Kathleen helped her unload so she could get inside and help me get ready.
They came prepared with bar décor, buckets for water bottles, and even set up a water station outside. They rearranged the fridge to make everything fit. I’m tearing up again just thinking about how much they went above and beyond.
And then they did something I never expected: they personally checked in with me all night to make sure my wife’s and my drinks were never empty. We were running around hosting like crazy, and they made sure we actually stopped to enjoy ourselves. They even came into the bridal suite with champagne right after the ceremony so we could toast with our VIPs. It was such a special memory. When we were outside taking portraits, they came all the way out to check if we needed anything. I never had to walk up to the bar once; they always made sure I had what I needed.
They elevated the energy of the entire party. They took videos of funny and special moments, signed our guestbook, and genuinely made everything more fun. Honestly, they inspired me to think about how wonderful it must be to work in the wedding industry, because if I ever had my own business, I’d want to bring the same amazing vibes. It’s so clear they love what they do.
Guests and vendors kept coming up to me throughout the night to say how special Jon and Kathleen were. People wanted their contact info to book them, recommend them, or even just be friends with them after the wedding! 😂 I still can’t believe I got all of this simply because of who I happened to pick on Thumbtack. I feel so lucky.

Our bartender cancelled last minute and after scrambling to find someone Jon and his team were so helpful and quick to say yes! We loved having them apart of our day. From bar set up to take down their service was excellent and very professional.

We had the most amazing time at our wedding. They were so attentive, kind and thoughtful. Throughout the wedding we never had an empty hand. The drinks tasted amazing and everything was so fresh.
