About
We are one of the only services in town that allows clients to purchase and bring their own ingredients. We offer this service option because it gives clients who are on a tight budget an opportunity to get the delicious and professional catered drinks they want while staying within budget! I love our job so much. I think we have the best job of all the wedding vendors! :) We have so much fun getting to know our clients and catering our unique drinks to suit their tastes and personalities, and what they want their guests to experience. Many of our clients have become close friends. Portland has a vibrant foodie culture that we are excited to be a part of.

Joni and Jennelle, bartenders of Mint and Mirth, did an excellent job of serving the friends and family at our wedding of about 80+ people. They are professional and knowledgeable about ways to help narrow down the million decisions that go into planning your special day or event. These two are friendly and pleasant to work with and will help your occasion run smoothly. Highly recommend.

My wife and I hosted a going away party for very close friends of ours. Less then two days before the event, we decided to look for a bartender for hire. We were about to give up on the idea, but then the stars aligned and we found Mint & Mirth. Throughout the entire process, Joni was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our needs. The bartender, Janelle, arrived early for the event and her service was above and beyond anything we could have anticipated. Janelle was professional, polite, fun, and mixed amazing cocktails. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend Mint & Mirth for any occasion. They truly understand the business of hospitality and without a doubt will deliver impeccable service. Cheers!

Every part of my experience with Mint & Mirth was extremely positive! Every email was answered promptly and professionally. Jenelle, our bartender was sweet, fun and professional as well. I hired Joni to be the bartender at a bachlorette party I was planning for a close friend of mine. I picked her because she very much fit with the vibe we were going for--trendy and local. We picked a couple of drinks together over the phone according to the bride-to-be's tastes, and I was so pleasantly surprised when she showed up with a some extra drink options as well. The thing I liked most about Joni was that she was knowledgeable about local spirits--and brought them to the party! We got to try local gin and bourbon, as well as some local mixers (I can't remember the name, but they were delicious!) We were a little worried that it would be "awkward" to have a bartender at a house party, but Joni blended in perfectly and was a great compliment to the night. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to use printed signs for the drink descriptions, but that's just one picky detail.

Mint and Mirth provided bartending services for our wedding reception this weekend. They did a fantastic job. Joni was a pleasure to work with from the start, helping us with our cocktail selection (The Saint and a Fig Margarita, both phenomenal) and beer choices. Each step of the way, communication was beyond easy. Joni was quickly responsive to all of our questions, and provided all the information we needed to make our decisions. The day of the party, they were there promptly, joyously, and with the highest level of professionalism, interfacing with the other caterers and event planner seamlessly. Our guests loved everything about the drinks and the service and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Highly recommended.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    We primarily do weddings, but we also serve at corporate events, birthdays, and the like. Those are a ton of fun. Also, as a queer-owned and -operated company, we take pride in our commitment to the community. We are always open to partnerships in support of local and national queer-friendly organizations. For every LGBTQ wedding we serve at, we donate 10% of our service fee to the Trevor Project.
