FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally charge $95/hour for private sessions and for yoga classes a suggested donation of $75/6-week series or $15 drop-in. I also understand financial difficulties and am flexible with pricing with private sessions depending on unique circumstances. I believe everyone should have access to great, holistic care and don't want finances to be a barrier.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are interested in yoga classes, you are welcome to drop-in to any of my regularly scheduled ones at any time. If you are interested in a private session or would like more information about my teaching style for group classes, I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation by phone or in person at my office to give you a chance to ask any questions you may have and to determine if you think we'd be a great fit before investing your time and money into working with me. For private sessions, we schedule an initial session which involves hearing more from you what your needs are, what has and hasn't worked for you in the past, and what areas may be the best to focus on in your life first. We collaborate together to figure out the best approach for you, which can change over the course of our work together as things change in your life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in Counseling Psychology (MA) from Lewis & Clark College and am a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance (RYT) and trauma-focused yoga training and teaching experience through Living Yoga. I'm regularly completing continuing education credits, usually in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and body-based healing methods because this is what I love learning about! I also make a point to regularly research the unique challenges my clients face. Information about counseling, yoga, and healing is always changing and I realize the importance of keeping up with it. It also keeps me passionate about my work!
