My goal with every class is that each student feels respected, is comfortable to ask questions, and learns something new despite previous knowledge. Certification is through Medic First Aid and valid for 2 years. Pediatric Plus Students will be trained to recognize and provide initial and appropriate care for a wide variety of medical conditions and emergencies. This is a highly interactive class with emphasis on gaining the knowledge and hands on skills to perform life saving techniques such as CPR and the use of an AED. This course is ideal for child care professionals, teachers, coaches, parents, and others with a requirement / desire to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children and infants. While the emphasis of the class is on children, emergency care for adults is also covered. Basic Plus This class covers all of the information listed above excluding care for infants and children. Students will be certified in Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid only. This course is ideal for construction workers, adult residential care personnel, personal trainers, individuals who have family members with chronic medical conditions, and all others who wish to be prepared to give initial and appropriate medical care in case of an emergency involving adults.
