This is an excellent guy. Definitely recommend him to everyone who needs help.
My project is a very critical one because it is the remaining project before selling my house, and time is really urgent. I asked many folks in thumbtack, no one is willing to take it probably because it is too small, too urgent and there is not much money to make. Timmins Construction is the only one that stands out. He responded me very quickly and willing to come very soon (same day). And I know that he is using his spare time to help me. So I am really appreciate on that.
The project looks simple, just installation of some moulding, but
when it comes to the actual work, it is complicated and need several rounds of discussion because it is a remaining project, several pieces requires special cutting in different angles to patch the "holes" of previous work. For all the issues, he always listened to my suggestions and acted on it very carefully and professionally and get every difficult task completed with my satisfaction.
Finally, because of his great job, I would like to recommend Timmins Construction to everyone in this community. He is a young guy with great passion and great potentials. I sincerely wish him success. If I am not moving, I would like to trust him to help me with many more stuffs.

An amazing carpenter. Had to cut a door open (long story involving doggie locking self in with a drawer, don't laugh) Had to hang a new door in a 50 yr old house. Not a frame but door. Takes an artist with patience. Integrity, honesty and most of all friendliness. Our 2 dogs annoyed him for 2 days. Will call again. With old home you need a great plumber, electrician and carpenter. I found ours.

Boy, did James deliver. I had an old storm door on an old house with vinyl siding that required some careful navigation and ingenuity. My experience with James began with great communication and prompt, on-time arrival. He not only made the new door look great - but went through the painstaking process along the way of cutting, installing and working with a block that allowed the door to fit when it otherwise wouldn't. He is incredibly efficient and ultra-professional. I look forward to working with him again.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently I built and installed 2 custom cabinets in cherry veneer to fit overtop ikea kitchen cabinets.
They are built to fit perfectly in the space and match the bottom cabinets throughout the kitchen.
Track lighting was added to create a warm glow from above, precluding the need for harsh overhead lighting in the evening.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When vetting a professional, listen for signs that they have an enduring love of their craft.
The principles that lead to good, honest work stem from a sincere pride in your work. A cynical tradesperson is all the more likely to cut corners.
